What a Global Forever stamp is worth
The Domestic Mail Manual lists the value this way:
“If labeled “Global Forever”, the current FCMI 1-ounce stamped letter price.”
The International Mail Manual says more about the value and what the stamp can be used for:
“A Global Forever stamp’s value is linked to the First-Class Mail International single-piece 1-ounce machinable letter price that is in effect on the day of use (mailing) regardless of when the stamp is purchased and regardless of how prices may change in the future.”
“Global Forever stamps can be used to mail a postcard or 1–ounce machinable letter-size mailpiece anywhere in the world.”
A 2012 Federal Register final rule, effective January 27, 2013, first put the Global Forever stamp text in the International Mail Manual; the IMM quotes above are from the 2026 copy of that manual. The IMM wording speaks of a machinable letter-size mailpiece. For a domestic stamp, the Forever stamps page has the domestic rule.
