About FedRateCalc

What This Site Does
FedRateCalc is a free resource for tracking U.S. Federal Reserve interest rate decisions and estimating the cost of common loans. We publish the current federal funds target rate, the FOMC meeting schedule for 2025 through 2027, and free calculators for mortgages and student loans. Our goal is to turn the rate environment into plain, practical numbers — what a payment might look like, how much interest a loan could cost, and when the next rate decision is due.
Who Operates FedRateCalc
FedRateCalc is owned and operated by Archie Design App LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. We build small, focused web tools that make everyday financial and reference information easier to understand. We are an independent publisher and are not affiliated with the Federal Reserve, any government agency, bank, or lender.
Where Our Data Comes From
Interest rate figures and meeting dates are based on primary sources, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), and FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Mortgage and student loan calculations use standard, publicly documented amortization formulas. We always recommend confirming current figures against official sources or your own lender before making a decision.
Authoritative sources: Federal Reserve monetary policy · Official FOMC calendar · Freddie Mac PMMS archive · U.S. Treasury interest-rate data
How Our Content Is Produced and Updated
FedRateCalc is built and maintained by Archie Chang. Calculator logic is implemented from documented formulas and covered by automated tests. Rate figures are manually checked against linked primary sources; the site is not a real-time data feed. The full source list, calculation details, update process, and known limitations are on our Methodology & Sources page.
We welcome corrections and questions. If you spot something that looks out of date, please reach out through our contact page.
