USMC CFT Calculator 2026: Combat Fitness Test Score
This USMC CFT calculator turns your Movement to Contact (MTC) time, ammunition lift (AL) repetitions and Maneuver Under Fire (MANUF) time into points per event, a total out of 300 and a class, using Tables 3-3 to 3-7 of MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5 (administrative update of 28 May 2025). The USMC PFT calculator does the same for the Physical Fitness Test, and the score chart prints every table.

The MCO does not say how a time between two printed rows is scored; the calculator uses the slower row, so it never gives more points than a printed row.

Points, total and class
Age group 21-25, male tables
Total 239 of 300
Passes the CFT: 1st class

| Event | Your result | Points | Minimum raw score | Raw score for 100 points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Movement to Contact (MTC) | 2:50 | 89 | 3:45 (40 points) | 2:38 |
| Ammunition Lift (AL) | 95 | 75 | 67 (40 points) | 115 |
| Maneuver Under Fire (MANUF) | 2:35 | 75 | 3:18 (40 points) | 2:04 |
Passing, minimums and classes
MCO 6100.13A chapter 3 says:
“The minimum combined score required to pass the CFT is 150. The minimum performance in each CFT event will not achieve the overall points required for a passing score. Additional points must be earned in at least one event in order to achieve a 3rd class score. Failure to meet the minimum requirements in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test, regardless of the total number of points earned.”
“Marines must achieve the minimum performance requirement for all three events to successfully pass the CFT. Failure to meet the minimum requirement in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test.”
Table 3-1 gives the minimum for each event by age group and sex, and the calculator marks an event below the minimum when your result is worse than the Min row of your age group and sex column. Table 3-2 sets the classes: 1st class 235 to 300, 2nd class 200 to 234, 3rd class 150 to 199. A CFT with one event under its minimum fails whatever the total, and the result says so.
“The CFT is a scored, calendar year annual requirement for all active duty Marines. It is required to be conducted between 1 July and 31 December of each year.”
The three events
“The CFT consists of three events: MTC, AL, and MANUF.”
“The run course will be 880 yards, must be measured for accuracy, and set over reasonably level ground.”
“The AL is a repetitive lift of a 30-pound ammunition can from shoulder height to overhead.”
“This is a timed event with a two minute time limit.”
The MANUF is a 300-yard shuttle run with combat-related tasks, and the grenade throw changes the time you enter:
“Five seconds will be deducted from the overall MANUF time for hits and five seconds will be added to the overall MANUF time for misses.”
Enter the overall MANUF time after that adjustment, the time the scoring tables are read against.
How the points are worked out
Each table lists a raw score and the points it earns, best row first. The MTC and MANUF tables step every second, and the AL table every repetition. The calculator gives a raw score the points of the best row it meets: at or below the row for times, at or above it for repetitions. A result better than the top row earns 100 points, and a result worse than the last row of the column is below the minimum and earns no points. A Marine aged 51 or older uses the 51+ column.
Altitude
“Calculating a cumulative score for a completed CFT at altitude can be derived from Tables 3-6 (MTC) and 3-7 (MANUF). There is no altitude compensation for the AL.”
Tick the altitude box to read Table 3-6 for the MTC and Table 3-7 for the MANUF. Those tables are titled "at or above 4,500 feet mean sea level". The AL always reads Table 3-4.
Worked example from the tables
A 24-year-old man (age group 21-25, male tables) with an MTC of 2:50, 95 ammunition lifts and a MANUF of 2:35. The calculator opens with these numbers, and each line is read from the order's tables.
| Event | Result | Points | Read from | Minimum raw score | Raw score for the top points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Movement to Contact (MTC) | 2:50 | 89 | Table 3-3 | 3:45 | 2:38 |
| Ammunition Lift (AL) | 95 | 75 | Table 3-4 | 67 | 115 |
| Maneuver Under Fire (MANUF) | 2:35 | 75 | Table 3-5 | 3:18 | 2:04 |
Total 239 of 300, 1st class, with every event above its minimum.
What MARADMIN 613/25 covers
MARADMIN 613/25 is titled:
“ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO THE MARINE CORPS PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST AND BODY COMPOSITION EVALUATION PROCESS”
Its paragraph 4 covers the PFT and its paragraph 5 covers body composition, so it gives no CFT scoring rule. The USMC PFT calculator applies that message to the PFT.
Frequently asked questions
What are the CFT events?
The MCO says: “The CFT consists of three events: MTC, AL, and MANUF.” It describes the MTC this way: “The run course will be 880 yards, must be measured for accuracy, and set over reasonably level ground.” The AL: “The AL is a repetitive lift of a 30-pound ammunition can from shoulder height to overhead.” “This is a timed event with a two minute time limit.” The MANUF is a 300-yard shuttle run with combat-related tasks that include a grenade throw.
What is the minimum CFT score?
The MCO says: “The minimum combined score required to pass the CFT is 150. The minimum performance in each CFT event will not achieve the overall points required for a passing score. Additional points must be earned in at least one event in order to achieve a 3rd class score. Failure to meet the minimum requirements in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test, regardless of the total number of points earned.” Table 3-1 sets a minimum for each event by age group and sex. For male Marines aged 17-20 the minimums are an MTC of 3:45, 62 ammunition lifts and a MANUF of 3:17. For female Marines aged 17-20 they are 4:36, 30 lifts and 4:53.
What is a first class CFT score?
Table 3-2 lists the same classes as the PFT: 1st class 235 to 300, 2nd class 200 to 234, 3rd class 150 to 199. The MCO also says: “Marines must achieve the minimum performance requirement for all three events to successfully pass the CFT. Failure to meet the minimum requirement in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test.”
How is the CFT scored at altitude?
The MCO says: “Calculating a cumulative score for a completed CFT at altitude can be derived from Tables 3-6 (MTC) and 3-7 (MANUF). There is no altitude compensation for the AL.” Tables 3-6 and 3-7 are titled “at or above 4,500 feet mean sea level”. The calculator reads them when you tick the altitude box, and reads the normal AL table either way.
How does the grenade throw change the MANUF time?
The MCO says: “Five seconds will be deducted from the overall MANUF time for hits and five seconds will be added to the overall MANUF time for misses.” Enter the overall MANUF time after that adjustment, which is the time the scoring tables are read against.
Did MARADMIN 613/25 change the CFT?
The message is titled “ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO THE MARINE CORPS PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST AND BODY COMPOSITION EVALUATION PROCESS”. Its paragraph 4 covers the PFT and paragraph 5 covers body composition, and it gives no CFT numbers; its only mention of the Combat Fitness Test is the title of the order cited in reference (c). The CFT tables on this page are the ones in MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5.
