What this converter covers

This is a time conversion for the U.S. Federal Reserve's FOMC schedule, not a calendar of Bank of Canada, Bank of England, Reserve Bank of Australia, or Monetary Authority of Singapore decisions. The statement time is scheduled by the Fed; the press conference is expected to begin about 30 minutes later.

IANA time zones account for date-specific daylight saving time. That matters in late October, when U.S. and UK clock changes do not occur on the same day, and in Australia, where Brisbane and Perth use different rules from Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

FOMC local-time questions

What time is the FOMC decision in my country?

The Fed schedules its policy statement for 2:00 PM Eastern Time on the second day of an FOMC meeting. Select a city to convert that same instant using its IANA time zone and the daylight-saving rule in effect on that meeting date.

Does the FOMC decision happen on a different date in Australia or Singapore?

Yes. The scheduled 2:00 PM ET statement falls on the following calendar day in the Australian cities listed here and in Singapore. The converter shows the full local date and UTC offset.

Why can the UK or Canada time change between FOMC meetings?

The United States and the United Kingdom change clocks on different dates. Canadian cities also differ: Toronto changes clocks seasonally, while Vancouver uses permanent UTC−7 after March 8, 2026. The converter applies the rule for the selected city and meeting date.
