USMC PFT Calculator 2026: Marine Corps PFT Score

This USMC PFT calculator turns your pull-ups or push-ups, plank and 3-mile run or 5,000 m row into points per event, a total out of 300 and a class, using the score tables in MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5 (administrative update of 28 May 2025). Tick the combat arms box to score on the male tables and see the 210-point check from MARADMIN 613/25. The CFT calculator covers the Combat Fitness Test, and the score chart prints every table.

Not official Marine Corps guidance. FedRateCalc is independent and is not affiliated with the U.S. Marine Corps. This page reads the score tables in MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5 (administrative update of 28 May 2025) and the text of MARADMIN 613/25, and the official scoring system, your command and Marine Corps orders decide an official score. It gives no medical or training advice.

The MCO does not say how a time between two printed rows is scored; the calculator uses the slower row, so it never gives more points than a printed row.

Passing, minimums and classes

MCO 6100.13A chapter 2 says:

“The minimum combined score required to pass the PFT is 150. The minimum performance in each PFT event will not achieve the overall points required for a passing score. Additional points must be earned in at least one event in order to achieve a 3rd class score. Failure to meet the minimum requirements in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test, regardless of the total number of points earned.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 6
“Marines must score at least the minimum points on the event selected to pass this test. If unable to meet at least the minimum points, this constitutes a failure of this event and of the PFT.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 5.a.(3)

Table 2-1 sets the classes: 1st class 235 to 300, 2nd class 200 to 234, 3rd class 150 to 199. The calculator marks an event as below the minimum when your result is worse than the Min row of your age group and sex column. That counts as a failed test whatever the total, and the result says so. A total under 150 also fails.

How the points are worked out

Each table lists a raw score and the points it earns, best row first. The calculator gives a raw score the points of the best row it meets: at or above the row for repetitions and plank time, at or below the row for the run and row times. The columns are the age groups 17-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50 and 51+, so a Marine aged 51 or older uses the 51+ column.

  • A result better than the top row earns the top points: 100, or 70 for push-ups.
  • A result worse than the last row of the column is below the minimum and earns no points.
  • The run table steps every 10 seconds, so a time between two rows earns the points of the slower row it still beats.

Pull-ups, push-ups, plank and crunches

“This event gives Marines the option to do either pull-ups or push-ups.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 5.a.(1)
“Additionally, maximum points on the hybrid pull-up/push-up test can only be earned by doing pull-ups.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 5.a.(1)
“Push-up and pull-up scores cannot be combined for a total score on this event.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 5.a.(4)

In the push-up tables every age group tops out at 70 points, so the best possible PFT total with push-ups is 70 + 100 + 100 = 270. Female pull-up columns start at 60 points at their minimum and male columns at 40, as the tables print them.

“This event will be discontinued on 31 December 2022.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 5.d.(10), the abdominal crunch (added by Change 4)

The plank has one scoring table for every age group and both sexes. The change transmittal bound into the order says:

“Enclosure (1), Page 2-15, Chapter 2, Table 2-4, replaces the plank scoring table to reflect the time required to achieve the maximum points changed to 3 minutes, 45 seconds and the time required to achieve the minimum points changed to 1 minute, 10 seconds. The revised plank scoring table is effective 1 January 2022.”
MCO 6100.13A CH-4 change transmittal (23 Mar 2022), paragraph 3.d, bound into MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5

Combat arms PMOS scoring (MARADMIN 613/25)

MARADMIN 613/25 was signed on 18 December 2025. Its paragraphs 3 to 4 say:

“Beginning 1 January 2026, the service will institute sex-neutral Physical Fitness Test (PFT) standards for Marines with a combat arms Primary Military Occupational Special (PMOS).”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 3
“PFT scores will continue to be assessed using the current sex- and age-normed standards outlined in reference (c).”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.a (Marines with a Non-Combat Arms PMOS)
“PFT scores for Marines in combat arms PMOSs, listed in paragraph 4.d., will be assessed using the male, age-normed scoring standard outlined in reference (c).”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.b
“Marines with a combat arms PMOS must achieve a minimum total score of 210 points (i.e., 70 percent of total possible points) on the PFT. Marines in combat arms PMOSs who pass but do not achieve 210 points on the PFT by the end of the reporting period will be placed on the remedial physical training program and may be subject to PMOS reclassification and / or promotion restriction. Until further guidance is published, no adverse or punitive actions will be administered.”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.c
“Units will verbally inform all Marines with a combat arms PMOS of the minimum sex-neutral standard for each event and the 210-point requirement prior to the execution of a PFT.”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.e.1
“In addition to recording Marines’ PFT performance in the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) in accordance with reference (c), units with Marines assigned the combat arms PMOS will also manually compute and record PFT scores on a NAVMC 11622 using the sex-neutral and age-normed scoring standard outlined in paragraph 4.b.”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.e.2
“Units will ensure Marines with combat arms PMOSs are notified of their sex-neutral score.”
MARADMIN 613/25 (signed 18 December 2025), paragraph 4.e.3

The calculator follows paragraph 4.b: with the combat arms box ticked it reads the male table of your age group for pull-ups or push-ups and for the run or row, whatever the sex you enter. The plank table is the same for everyone. It then shows two results side by side: the normal result from the tables (every event at its minimum and a total of 150 or more) and the 210-point check from paragraph 4.c. For a woman it also shows the female-table result the MCO tables give without paragraph 4.b, because paragraphs 4.e.2 and 4.e.3 have units record and notify the sex-neutral score, which is the male-table result. The PMOS list from paragraph 4.d is on the score chart.

What the message leaves open

  • The message does not say how the 210 total applies to a Marine who is under an event minimum. A below-minimum event scores 0 points here, so the other two events total at most 200, below 210, and both checks fail together.
  • It names no separate rowing table for combat arms Marines, so the calculator reads the male row tables.
  • It gives no altitude rule for combat arms Marines, so the altitude box reads the male altitude tables.

The body composition part of MARADMIN 613/25 was amended later: MARADMIN 066/26 (26 February 2026) and MARADMIN 073/26 (27 February 2026) changed the body composition process, which this page does not score. MARADMIN 066/26 paragraph 1 says:

“Except for the changes listed below, all details, instructions, and guidance contained in reference (a) remain in effect.”
MARADMIN 066/26 (Change 1, 26 February 2026), paragraph 1 (reference (a) is MARADMIN 613/25)

So paragraphs 3 and 4 of MARADMIN 613/25 are the PFT text this page applies, and the listed changes in 066/26 concern body composition.

Worked example from the tables

A 24-year-old man (age group 21-25, male tables) with 15 pull-ups, a 2:45 plank and a 21:30 three-mile run. The calculator opens with these numbers, and each line is read from the order's tables.

Rowing, altitude, recruits and the official calculator

“Marines aged 46 years of age and older have the option of rowing 5,000 meters (5,000m) as an alternative event for the three mile run. Additionally, Marines aged 45 years and younger have the option of rowing 5,000m as an alternative event to the three mile run due to an injury or if post-partum and if authorized by the PHCP and the CO/OIC.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 3

The calculator shows that sentence when you pick the row at an age under 46 and does not check the authorization.

“Units administering the PFT at altitudes of 4,500 feet or more above sea level will utilize Table 2-6 for adjusted run times or Table 2-8 for adjusted rowing times.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 9

Tick the altitude box to read Table 2-6 for the run or Table 2-8 for the row. The pull-up, push-up and plank tables have no altitude version.

“The PFT is a scored, calendar year annual requirement for all active duty Marines. It is required to be conducted between 1 January and 30 June of each year.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 2.a

The order scores recruits and officer candidates by different age-group rules, and this calculator has no input for them:

“The 17-20 year old age group will be used to score all recruits on PFT performance, regardless of age.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 8
“Age groups specific to an individual's age will be used to score officer candidates, Basic and Warrant Officer Course students, and Midshipmen from the Naval Academy and Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps on PFT performance.”
MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, chapter 2, paragraph 8

The order names an official PFT calculator on MOL, a Marine Corps network portal that is not a public website, so this page does not link to it. The official score is the one your command records.

Frequently asked questions

What is a passing PFT score?

The MCO says: “The minimum combined score required to pass the PFT is 150. The minimum performance in each PFT event will not achieve the overall points required for a passing score. Additional points must be earned in at least one event in order to achieve a 3rd class score. Failure to meet the minimum requirements in any one event constitutes a failure of the entire test, regardless of the total number of points earned.” So a Marine needs at least the minimum on pull-ups or push-ups, on the plank and on the run or row, and a total of 150 or more out of 300. Table 2-1 sets the classes: 1st class 235 to 300, 2nd class 200 to 234, 3rd class 150 to 199.

What is a first class PFT?

Table 2-1 lists 1st class as 235 to 300 points, 2nd class as 200 to 234 and 3rd class as 150 to 199. A male Marine aged 17-20 earns 100 points on each event with 20 pull-ups, a 3:45 plank and a 18:00 three-mile run, which totals 300.

How is the PFT scored for combat arms Marines in 2026?

MARADMIN 613/25, signed 18 December 2025, says: “Beginning 1 January 2026, the service will institute sex-neutral Physical Fitness Test (PFT) standards for Marines with a combat arms Primary Military Occupational Special (PMOS).” For scoring it says: “PFT scores for Marines in combat arms PMOSs, listed in paragraph 4.d., will be assessed using the male, age-normed scoring standard outlined in reference (c).” It also says: “Marines with a combat arms PMOS must achieve a minimum total score of 210 points (i.e., 70 percent of total possible points) on the PFT. Marines in combat arms PMOSs who pass but do not achieve 210 points on the PFT by the end of the reporting period will be placed on the remedial physical training program and may be subject to PMOS reclassification and / or promotion restriction. Until further guidance is published, no adverse or punitive actions will be administered.” The calculator reads the male tables for any Marine who ticks the combat arms box, whatever the sex, and shows the 210-point check next to the normal result. The message does not say how the 210 total applies to a Marine who falls under an event minimum. A below-minimum event scores 0 points here, so the other two events total at most 200, below 210, and both checks fail together. For a woman, the calculator also shows the female-table result that the MCO tables give without paragraph 4.b. The PMOS list from paragraph 4.d is on the score chart page.

Can you do push-ups instead of pull-ups on the PFT?

Yes. The MCO says: “This event gives Marines the option to do either pull-ups or push-ups.” It also says: “Additionally, maximum points on the hybrid pull-up/push-up test can only be earned by doing pull-ups.” In the tables push-ups earn at most 70 points and pull-ups up to 100, so the highest possible PFT total with push-ups is 70 + 100 + 100 = 270. “Push-up and pull-up scores cannot be combined for a total score on this event.”

Does the PFT still use crunches?

The crunch tables are still printed in the order, but the order says: “This event will be discontinued on 31 December 2022.” The plank has one scoring table for every age group and both sexes, from 3:45 for 100 points down to 1:10 for 40 points. This calculator scores the plank and does not score crunches.

When can a Marine row instead of run on the PFT?

The MCO says: “Marines aged 46 years of age and older have the option of rowing 5,000 meters (5,000m) as an alternative event for the three mile run. Additionally, Marines aged 45 years and younger have the option of rowing 5,000m as an alternative event to the three mile run due to an injury or if post-partum and if authorized by the PHCP and the CO/OIC.” The 5,000 m row has its own tables (Tables 2-7 and 2-8), and the calculator reads them when you pick the row. It does not check the authorization.
