TFSA contribution room calculator
Enter the year you were born, or the year you turned 18, and the year you became a resident of Canada if that was later. The result is cumulative limits from CRA's yearly table, not your personal contribution room.
Enter a year to see the cumulative limits.
Not modelled: years you were not a resident of Canada, qualifying transfers, exempt contributions, specified distributions, and excess amounts. This is arithmetic on CRA's published limits, not tax advice.
“Your contribution room is the maximum amount you can contribute to your tax-free savings account (TFSA). It is specific to you and can change each year, as well as when you make TFSA contributions and withdrawals.”
“If you are a resident of Canada, your contribution room starts to accumulate when you turn 18 years of age. This is when the annual TFSA dollar limit, which is set by the Government, becomes available to you as contribution room.”
“If you are a new resident of Canada, you start to accumulate contribution room on the day you have residency if you are 18 years of age or older.”
“When you withdraw from your TFSA, you will regain the same amount as new available contribution room on January 1 of the following year. The annual dollar limit will also be added to your available room at the same time.”
“Use your own financial records to calculate your available contribution room, not the information in your CRA account.”
“The TFSA information in your CRA account is only updated once per year in the spring with your transactions of the previous year.”
“Always verify your contribution room with your financial institution records to avoid over-contribution.”
“Sign in to your CRA account and use the contribution room calculator”
“If you contribute more than your available room, you will be taxed on the excess amount.”

The CRA table that also carries the TFSA limits prints these RRSP dollar limits (and the money purchase limit they follow):
