Oklahoma Food Stamps (SNAP) 2026: Income Limits and Benefits Calculator

Oklahoma food stamps (OK): SNAP (food stamps), run by Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS).

Oklahoma's rules use the federal gross limit of 130% of the poverty level: $1,729 a month for one person and $3,575 for four, with net income at or below $1,330 for one and $2,750 for four. A household with an elderly or disabled member only has to meet the net limit.

SNAP and food stamps are the same program, and the figures here are for October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027; the FY 2026 figures (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026) are on the SNAP income limits page.

This is an estimate, not an eligibility decision. Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) decides who is in the household, what income counts and the final benefit. Not modeled: asset (resource) limits, which can decide eligibility for households that are not categorically eligible; work-requirement time limits for able-bodied adults without dependents; student rules and noncitizen eligibility; self-employment cost rules and income exclusions; prorated first months and the $10 initial-month rule; state options beyond the ones sourced on the state pages (for example a standard medical deduction). Monthly limits effective October 1, 2026. The federal columns are the standard limits: a household with an elderly or disabled member skips the gross test, and a categorically eligible household skips both tests. The Oklahoma column is the categorical eligibility limit, which is the same as the federal gross limit.

Oklahoma's rule 340:50-11-111 treats a household in which all members receive TANF cash assistance or SSI, or in which members receive or are authorized to receive services through 2-1-1 Oklahoma, as categorically eligible. The rule's instructions to staff say that households that include members who do not receive SSI or TANF cash assistance must meet the income guidelines in Appendix C-3, and that 2-1-1 Oklahoma has a 130 percent gross income standard. The calculator therefore applies the gross income test (not required for a household with a member who is 60 or older or disabled) and the net income test to every household.

Oklahoma SNAP asset test

Appendix C-3 lists resource standards of $3,000 for a household without an elderly or disabled member and $4,750 for a household with one, for sponsored alien and non-categorically eligible households. This page reads a household authorized to receive services through 2-1-1 Oklahoma as categorically eligible and so outside that group. Appendix C-3 says households categorically eligible due to Oklahoma 2-1-1 obtain categorical eligibility when they receive the SNAP certification notice, and the rule says food benefit households are categorically eligible upon certification, so at application the resource limit may apply. The calculator does not check resources.

The federal asset limits for households that are not categorically eligible are $3,000, or $4,750 when a member is 60 or older or disabled (FY 2027).

Oklahoma SNAP utility allowances

FY 2027 (effective October 1, 2026): heating and cooling allowance $426; basic (other utilities) allowance $366; telephone allowance $51. Oklahoma has three standard amounts, the same for every household size. The standard utility allowance is for a household billed for heating or cooling, the basic utility allowance for a household with other utility charges (cooking fuel, water, sewage, garbage, basic phone service), and the telephone standard for a household that has a phone cost and does not qualify for either. The rule says a household with utility expenses is eligible for one of the three standards.

“When the household incurs utility expenses, it is eligible for one of three standard utility allowances based on criteria in (i) through (iii) of this subparagraph.”

Internet costs no longer count toward shelter or utility costs under Public Law 119-21 section 10104, and a LIHEAP or similar payment gives the heating and cooling allowance only to a household with an elderly or disabled member (section 10103).

Oklahoma SNAP child support rule

Oklahoma's own source treats legally owed child support you pay as a deduction, so the calculator subtracts it with the other deductions.

“A deduction is allowed for verified legally-binding child support payments paid by a household member to or for a non-household member, including payments made to a third party on behalf of the non- household member.”

  • Child support you pay: a deduction, as the state source says.
  • Utilities: Oklahoma's allowances effective October 1, 2026.

The calculator on this page shows every deduction.

Is Oklahoma SNAP the same as food stamps?

Yes. In Oklahoma the program is described as: SNAP (food stamps), run by Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS). The federal program is SNAP, formerly called Food Stamps, so the income limits and benefit formula on this page apply under every one of those names.
