How this calculator works

A path is measured as its travel length times width, then multiplied by the installed pea-gravel depth. This keeps pathway area visible before converting it into fill volume.

The calculator adds the allowance you choose, converts cubic feet to cubic yards, and converts volume to US short tons using the specific bulk density entered for the quoted pea gravel.

It adds delivery to the weight-based material estimate. Path base, edging, compaction, drainage, and local requirements need separate project decisions.

Common questions

Is this the same as a general gravel calculator?

It is arranged around pathway length and width and keeps the path area visible. It still needs your supplier’s density for the particular pea gravel.

Does it include a base course?

No. It estimates the pea-gravel layer only; calculate base material separately if your project uses one.
