Benefits paid on the 3rd arrive Friday, July 2, 2027, and SSI is paid Thursday, July 1, 2027. At least one of these dates moved from its regular day; the reason is below.

How the dates are set
Birthday groups follow the day of the month the insured worker was born (second, third or fourth Wednesday), SSI is paid on the 1st, and a date that is a weekend or federal holiday moves to the day before.

Birthdays on the 1st-10th are paid Wednesday, July 14, 2027, 11th-20th Wednesday, July 21, 2027 and 21st-31st Wednesday, July 28, 2027. Records with an application filed before May 1997, and Social Security paid together with SSI, are paid Friday, July 2, 2027. SSI is paid Thursday, July 1, 2027. The birthday is usually the insured worker's, so a spouse or child normally follows the worker.
Why did a July 2027 payment date move?
The 3rd: July 3, 2027 is a Saturday, so SSA pays on the first day before it that is not a weekend or federal holiday, Friday, July 2, 2027.
How many SSI payments arrive in July 2027?
2: Thursday, July 1, 2027 and Friday, July 30, 2027. One is the next month's payment, which SSA pays early when the 1st of that month is a weekend or federal holiday. It is not an extra payment.
